The England manager Criticizes Wembley Crowd Support Following Comfortable Win Over Wales.

The England head coach voiced his sadness that the Three Lions team did not receive greater encouragement from the Wembley spectators during their impressive triumph over Wales on Thursday evening.

The manager was satisfied to see his side maintain their winning momentum, with strikes from Morgan Rogers, Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the opening quarter settling the contest. However, he was not content with the mood at the iconic venue.

“We had one and a half training days to prepare against a drilled team and we excelled,” the coach stated. “We could have been 5-0 up at half-time. We missed the fourth and fifth goals. There was little noise. We didn’t get support back from the stands. We did everything to win.”

“What more can you give in the first quarter? We didn’t let them escape. When you only hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it’s sad because the team earned more support today.”

“I maintain this statement. We cannot do more than being 3-0 in a derby. I would have wished for a little more support in moments where it gets difficult.”

“In the second half, to support us, there was a bit too much backing for the opposition. It could have helped us to refocus, but that’s football and that is it.”

Squad Decisions Vindicated by Performance

Away from risking a dispute among supporters, the manager also caused a stir by omitting Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden from his squad. But the decision was justified by Morgan Rogers impressing again in the attacking midfield role and getting his first international goal.

“He plays his game,” Tuchel said. “He operates as an attacking midfielder and he is competing for his position.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Defeat

The Wales manager expressed hope that Wales, who face a strong Belgian side in a important World Cup qualifier on next week, learn from their poor performance in the opening period.

“This is why I wanted this friendly,” the manager said. “I need to see our current level. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? This performance gives me motivation.”

Fitness Worry for Striker

Ollie Watkins was substituted at half-time after hitting a goalpost and is a concern when the national team face Latvia in Riga in a World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday.
